Our Three Pillars

Two Birds was founded to provide holistic support for families with young children. By fundamentally incorporating the experiences and needs of the entire family, we enhance children’s educational opportunities, support the balance of professional and personal priorities, and re-engage families with their children’s early experiences. We accomplish this through three built-in pillars of service and support: early childhood education; on-site coworking space; and extracurricular classes.

High Quality Early Childhood Education

The Two Birds curriculum is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to learning; the way we think about classroom work and experiences respond and adapt to the interests of the child. This is a play based program that incorporates small group work, choice time, project work and centers and utilizes open ended materials.

Co-Working Space

Two Birds provides onsite coworking space for parents alongside childcare. This self-contained professional space is complimentary for Two Birds families and includes a pantry, cafe-style seating, private offices and phone rooms.

Family Programming

Family Programming introduces the concept of extracurriculars to children and inspires them to explore new ways of thinking and moving while in a familiar environment and surrounded by friends. Classes range from drama and music to STEM, Taekwondo, soccer and more, depending on age. They are an opportunity for families to connect outside of the classroom and are included at no additional cost to Two Birds families.

Amenities at Two Birds

Meals & Snacks

Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack are included at no extra charge for all children in the toddler, preschool and pre-k programs. Meals are served family style and catered fresh daily.

Diapers and Wipes

Diapers and wipes can be cumbersome and expensive for parents to keep stocked. We provide both for our families at no extra cost.

Sheets & Blankets

When a child graduates into the toddler program, or enrolls in any of the older programs, they are gifted with a cozy blanket to cuddle with while they nap.

Bibs & Burp Cloths

Bibs and burp cloths are essential to keep our students clean when eating! We provide these in the classroom during meal times and clean them regularly.

School Pictures

Two Birds takes complimentary professional school photos as well as photos at some key events to document children’s growth and commemorate special occasions and holidays. Photos are shared digitally with families at no extra charge.

Exhibition & Auction Nights

Children’s work is valuable and meaningful, and we believe in elevating some of our displays to represent that. Periodically, Two Birds hosts a school-wide exhibition where we highlight the creation process and final artwork. Additionally, Two Birds hosts an annual virtual auction in which families can purchase larger works of art and contribute to a teacher fund for professional development opportunities.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent-teacher conferences are an opportunity for families to connect individually with their child’s teaching team. Teachers and parents can reflect on children’s experience in the classroom, progress and development, future goals, as well as deepen their relationship with families.

Premium Office Amenities

Two Birds provides complimentary onsite coworking space for parents alongside childcare. Maximize professional efficiency by cutting out your commute and gain access to a community of fellow working parents. Nursing parents also gain the ability to nurse throughout the day even after returning to work. Coworking includes coffee and tea, cafe-style seating, private offices and phone rooms.

Private Office Spaces

For private calls and meetings, phone and huddle rooms are available.

Nursing Lounge

For nursing mothers, we have a private lounge located by the infant classrooms. Teachers will message you through our app when your infant is ready to nurse. We also have a separate space for pumping.

Common Areas

Common areas within coworking include banquettes, cafe-style seating and desks where you can post up and get some work done.

Coffee & Tea

The coworking space is stocked daily with free, freshly brewed coffee and tea.

About the Instructors

As part of our mission to provide a holistic experience for families, we offer complimentary extracurricular classes for children and parents. We partner with quality instructors who are not only experts in their field, but also have a passion for working with children. When selecting programming and identifying partners, we look for opportunities that align exploration of extracurriculars with Two Birds’ approach to learning. By providing a familiar environment with classmates, children feel safe exploring new activities and, as a result, often jump into trying new classes more quickly.
